First week in New Zealand!

Hello everyone!! Well, I have arrived safely in New Zealand and am currently in the process of getting settled in. I've been spending most of my days creating bank accounts, access to the computer systems here at school, Student ID's, etc, etc. Boring I know! However, I've also had some time to get out and explore Dunedin a bit enjoying the beach, running around campus and the beautiful Botanical Gardens. It is EXTREMELY HILLY here so it has been interesting watching me run....It took me an HOUR to get up a hill the other day that did not seem so far on the map but little did I know...YIKES!!

Dunedin is a small city of about 100,000 with about 20,000 of that being primarily students. It is a little dead here right now as students are out on summer break, in JANUARY! It is a friendly city and people walk everywhere which is a nice change. Basically, if you live within about a 30 minute walk to work, you walk vs. drive.

I'm putting some pictures on here, one of the clocktower on campus which is the central building most commonly pictured when talking about the University as well as a picture from St. Clair beach, only a 20 minute bus ride from campus.

In the meantime, I'm off to do some work! Enjoy the pictures!
